Building Brands on Social Media.
Assorted, 2020-2023
Producer/Editor, Strategy Lead
Brand: ONE37pm - youth culture publication brand focused on sports, gaming, web3 and finance.

Audience: Men 18-25, influenced by tech thought leaders, communities online on twitter/discord for discussion and YouTube/reels/TikTok for consumption

Challenge: growing public distrust in the brand because of disjointed, low value output from 15+ creators.
Solution: Connect current news to historical events, bringing as much informational value to the viewer as possible before sharing any opinions. Align creators on one journalistic style and approve pitches on a case by case basis. Refine any ideas out of line with the brand.
Impact: Established ONE37pm as a credible authority in their vertical. 1.7 Million in follower growth across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Videographer, Editor, Motion Graphics Designer

Brand: Ballplayers, a basketball/football focused sister brand to ONE37pm
Audience: separate community from ONE37pm, similar demographics. Men 18-35, influenced by sports entrepreneurs and players. Trusted in the Ballplayers brand and Arden, the account manager/creator.
Challenge: Leverage the community built through previous content to create a sellable, scalable podcast.
Solution: Emulate the style of competitors successful basketball podcast's (no frills, heavy on informational value), but differentiate this podcast with better guests and harder hitting questions, leveraging Arden's decade-long relationships with guests/agents in NY.
Impact: Integrated the podcast as valued weekly content in the Ballplayers community. After 8 episodes and 2 months, sold the podcast as a part of a $200,000 brand deal to a global alcohol distributor.

Brand: Ballplayers

Audience: Men 18-35, interested in the intersection of fashion and basketball history, some familiar with Ballplayers, most new to the brand reached on recommended feeds.

Challenge: Appeal to basketball super fans as an editor with minimal prior basketball knowledge, maintaining the presence of Ballplayers (and Arden) as a respected NY basketball authority.

Solution: Create an organic series that felt native to the basketball community by researching the NY basketball community on social video platforms to incorporate their voice and style into my own editing choices.
Impact: Garnered significant attention on NY's basketball social media, opening doors for Arden to build relationships and organize the Ballplayers Podcast.
Producer, Videographer Editor, Talent
Brand: Personal

Challenge: Shoot, script and edit a social video in 48 hours that showcased my abilities as a videographer/creator.
Solution: Lean into my background in journalism and discuss a visually captivating issue close to home.

Editor, Videographer, Associate Producer, Motion Graphics Design
Brand: ONE37pm

Audience: LinkedIn marketing community

Challenge: Work within the bounds of an executive pitch- entrepreneurs discuss business over cereal- to captivate and engage the above audience.

Solution: Lean heavily into the Sunday morning cartoon aesthetic behind most 80's and 90's kids association with cereal to bring an energetic flair to entrepreneurial content.

Impact: Drive engagement on LinkedIn, generating connections and praise for our host, Mike Press, as well as Gallery Media Group, the company behind ONE37pm.
Editor, Motion Graphics Designer

Brand: ONE37pm x Sean Millea

Audience: The thin crossover between Sean's comedy audience of 12-25 young men, and ONE37pm's tech/culture audience of 18-25.

Challenge: Develop a stable podcast that leveraged two massive communities with little pre-existing overlap between the audiences.
Solution: Bring on guests that appealed to a broad audience to capture as much of the overlap (and new viewers) as possible. Episodes with guests like Yung Gravy (musician) or a famous Paparazzo heavily outperformed episodes with Sean's comedian friends or ONE37pm's connections.

Impact: Boosted awareness for Sean in ONE37pm;s audience and vice versa, raising each follower count by 20,000+.
